How they arise in the subconscious
Fear is a protective mechanism – and completely normal.
Many people are surprised when they realize how strongly fears can influence their lives. But fears don't arise consciously – they originate deep in our subconscious. Our brain tries to protect us, even when, from a purely rational point of view, the danger no longer exists.
Why do fears originate in the subconscious?
The subconscious mind stores all experiences – especially formative or traumatic events. These are stored like programs and trigger automatic reactions. For example, if an unpleasant experience is linked to a specific situation, deep-seated anxiety can develop. Often a single experience is enough – sometimes even something we have merely observed or adopted.
These fears are not a weakness – they are learned.
And everything that has been learned can also be changed.
Common phobias and their roots:
🧗 Fear of heights
It often arises from a (real or observed) loss of control – such as tripping, falling, or feeling insecure in childhood.
✈️ Fear of flying
Often associated with loss of control, confinement, or a feeling of helplessness.
🐍 Fear of animals
It can be caused by traumatic experiences, children adopting their parents' fears, or media influences.
🚪 Claustrophobia (fear of open spaces)
It often develops from experiences of confinement in childhood or from a deep-seated fear of not being able to escape.
🤢 Emetophobia (fear of vomiting)
This little-known but widespread fear is often accompanied by loss of control, shame, or helplessness.
👥 Enochlophobia (fear of crowds)
It can be due to experienced overstimulation, insecurity, or early childhood sensory overload.
🌑 Lygophobia (fear of the dark)
Often originating from a natural childhood fear that has been intensified by certain events or fantasy.
👩⚕️ Latrophobia (fear of doctors)
The origin often lies in earlier painful or humiliating experiences in a medical context or in experienced helplessness.
Conclusion:
Phobias are not a sign of weakness, but of a subconscious mind that wants to protect you.
With the right support – e.g., through hypnosis – these fears can be gently resolved.
Your subconscious mind can relearn. And you can live freely again.
